Velderoth meets his younger self

Velderoth having to do paperwork and fight off any intruders that would infiltrate Heliseum all the time, decided to take a break and walk outside for a bit. The skies were a beautiful magenta colour, reflecting off the large round moon. The Heliseum Warrior looked up at the sky above, realising something he never had noticed before. "...Heliseum is actually a quite beautiful place." he thought. The outskirts of Heliseum was always quite empty and barren outside of the Tyrant's castle. It was very quiet when there was no war or fighting about. All the Specters he had previous fought on the way to Magnus' castle were actually very shy creatures. 

Velderoth decided to keep walking along the marble path, and saw a rather strange sight. A feint portal which looked like a mirror had appeared out of nowhere. "...What is this?" he wondered. Velderoth took a closer look at the mirror, when suddenly the mirror had replicated a younger form of himself. His younger self looked very optimistic and playful, determined to be a strong Nova who would protect Pantheon from any threats. The younger Velderoth smiled and looked up at him. "What's up?" he smiled.
The green-haired Nova didn't know what to say at this point.  He had mixed feelings about his past experiences. Kneeling down, to around his younger self's height and inspecting him closer, made him realise how much he had changed, and reminded him of his friends back at Pantheon who were Kyle and Tear. "...Why am I thinking about this now? Isn't that already long and gone? I have a different motive and path to my old friends. I'm now loyal to Magnus.. Isn't that right..?"

Velderoth was now confused with his own thoughts. The younger Velderoth was still looking up at him, curious as to what was going on.
The current Velderoth decided he should just enjoy these peaceful moments in Heliseum while he could, as fighting could take place the next day or so. He smiled a little at the youthful figure in front of him. "Take care of the others for me, okay?" he said. The younger Velderoth obviously didn't know what he meant, but nodded. "Okay! I'll make sure nobody else gets in the way of our plan! We will protect Pantheon forever!" the younger self replied while beaming optimistically.

Velderoth couldn't help but feel happy for his younger self. Though it was true that during his moments in Pantheon that he did have some rather stressful and regretful times, the other two were always there for him. Always there when he needed them the most, even though he may not have said it audibly. Perhaps he was just too shy to tell them. Velderoth stood up as he realised that it was getting rather late. "See you, little Nova." he replied, while he made a soft smile. The younger Velderoth waved. "Bye-bye!" Walking away from the strange mirror, Velderoth now realised that in a way both places were his 'home'. Both areas he had been had carried both good and bad memories. Velderoth made his way back onto the marble path where the entrance to the Tyrant's castle stood before him. He entered, walked up the various staircases and arrived back at his office. He looked out the window outside and deep thoughts had entered his mind again.
"..Well, I guess I should be satisfied no matter which path I take. The younger me sure is more optimistic than I am. Maybe that'll encourage me to keep on going." Velderoth stopped for a bit. "..Hang on. I literally just talked to my younger self. How is that possible?... Was that supposed to make me reflect on my past and present feelings? I guess a good reflection is useful once in a while.."

Hey all. I admit, I sort of cried when I started drawing this while listening to the Pantheon BGM. I hope the fanfiction passage above was written alright, I tried to improve my writing up there, haha! Ahh, I honestly don't know what to say. All the feels..

So you might ask "How did you come up with this scenario?"
Well, I figured that if Velderoth had met his younger self, then it would be rather different. I tried drawing something different from what I usually do, with an inspirational message hidden inside. This message and advice can be used for everyone. It's good to look back on what you've done well, and also what you can improve on. That way you can focus on what to do in the future and do your best! c:
